Learning To Breathe:  One Woman's Journey of Spirit and Survival is written by Alison Wright, the renowned photojournalist.  Alison had spent a lifetime traveling the world to document endangered cultures. In the first few days of the new century, she found herself on a packed bus in the winding mountains of Laos in Southeast Asia.

And then, in one instant of crushed metal and shattered glass, her life utterly changed: on a dangerous blind curve, the bus collided head-on with a logging truck, nearly killing her.
