I love reading Matthew Fox’s One River, Many Wells. In this book Fox presents a thorough and deep study of the foundation under all the great world religions, the thread (river) that flows through them all. But more than this, he offers the sweet whisperings of the Divine, that still small voice that has been with us throughout the ages. One River, Many Wells is a book to read over and over again, for it becomes a spiritual practice of hearing the voice celestial, a call home to our inner sanctuary.
