Book Review: Walking in This World

The Practical Art of Creativity

by Julia Cameron

Moving from the busyness of New York city to the quiet desert of New Mexico, Julia Cameron, in her book Walking in This World, figuratively and imaginatively takes us for a walk through the world of creativity. She  interweaves personal stories with clear pointers for opening up to our own unique creative expression. Throughout her  book Cameron offers simple exercises to bring awareness to and to grease the wheels of our inner artistic genius. She inspires us to expand our understanding and experience of what creativity means and how it might show up in us, both in ways we know and those imagined. Each time I read one of Cameron's books, I am called into exploring my world in new and greater ways, starting with what is right in front of me.
